How to remove install plate

I haven't tried these yet but my mother found a few in clearance snd couldn't install either. When I looked at it the back is labeled wrong when it says open close you must do the opposite. Turning right closes left opens. It was really hard still the first time, but I stuck an Allen wrench in the mounting hole and turned it to the left "close" the mounting plate came off and is now easy to put on and off .

Doesn’t work

Sensor doesn’t t work, I turn it on and the light goes on for 15 sec, then doesn’t come back on again.

Well, mine seems to work

I bought this at Home Depot, I see quite a few bad reviews, but mine works fine and I am quite satisfied with it. I have it in a closet. I was going to have an electrician put in a light and switch...now I don't have to. I guess I got lucky. I wish it would charge faster, though.

Returning it

As a lot of people have mentioned in reviews here and elsewhere they couldn’t remove the backing plate and I can’t remove it either. When I read reviews where people were complaining about that quite frankly I just thought that was ridiculous. They must be idiots. But they’re right. Why would a company design a product that you can’t remove the back on. It’s necessary too. There’s no work around. The idea is the back plate is adhered to a surface with the sticky side. So to recharge this you have to be able to remove the part that gets recharged. Too bad. I was going to use it under my sink in the kitchen. But this will be returned.

Garbage

Back plate can’t be removed and 3 m tape won’t stick. Judging by the other reviews. This company knows its product is total garbage.

Ok light...bad remote

Light is not bad but I bought it for the remote as the sensor time is to short and I can turn it on for constant light when using the bathroom at night....well remote eats batteries at a rate of 2 AAA batteries every 2 days only using it once or twice a night..so bottom line is I will not use the remote.

Worthless

Terrible. Brought it home from the store and cannot take off the back mounting plate. Will have to make another trip to Home Depot to return it.
